"THEREFORE, MY BELOVED brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58- NKJV
Paying tribute to mothers is an understatement and I say this with the utmost respect. There is no amount of money in the entire world that could pay moms for all they do and what they are worth.
We are chefs, house keepers, book keepers, nurses, taxi drivers and some times bus drivers. We are instructors, counselors, motivational speakers, orators of wisdom (whether they like it or not) and shoulders to cry on. We are cheerleaders, prayer supporters and our children's number one fans.
We are consultants, advisors, security guards and when our children become teenagers, FBI agents. I was going to say CSI but that means Crime Scene Investigators and in that case they would have to do something very bad to make us want to strangle them! Just kidding... We are also chameleons we adapt and change as the seasons change and no matter how old our children get, we never and I mean never consider retirement.
Although severance pay would be a wonderful option for us; we would never take it because being a mother is just who we are, it is what God made us to do and nothing or no one could ever change that fact or make us forget the honor and privilege we have in being a mother.
As women we are born to nurture. We are creatures of compassion, love and affection and God made us that way for His divine purpose as His divine aides. Here is one awesome thought...God is the giver of life and He chose woman to be that vessel to bring life into the world. What an honor and privilege we have been given. What a unique vessel He has created in woman to bear such miracles as life itself.
I hope after reading this you are inspired and encouraged as a mother to never change being who you are in Christ and who God made you to be because we are truly blessed with the most important title of all, "Mom". May God bless you abundantly for all you do for Him and in Him.
Happy Mother's Day!
